Our front page logo:

is pretty lacklustre, I was trying earlier to incorporate one of the fiddle sticks crews lanscapes from:

https://www.fiddlesticks.uk.net/

into it, trying to make it kind of green and transparent.

But I could not get my idea right

So how about someone else has a go, and as a prize I will give them free licences to any of the shareware I do on:

https://www.marsjupiter.com/

They do not have to follow my idea for the logo, though I personally quite like the kind of "fade to green" effect.

The logo MUST be the same width, and can be lesser or equal in height.

Actually I wonder if it would be better for the logo to be the middle column width?

I said the same width, as I wanted to keep the same basic template, but maybe this is not such a good idea. A smaller logo would be a lot more flexible.

It was the offer of chutney that did it.

I thought I'd have a bash. It was a nice idea, but I think it's turned out too fussy. Thought I'd show it anyway. I'm happy to have another bash if you put forward other ideas for me to try. (I used a few images from the fiddlesticks website, the rest are my own.)

Maybe one image across the whole background....

Nice logo, but I seem to have a bit of interest on a graphic design forum (I posted on Friday afternoon):

tahir:
Hello I'm an admin on a new not for profit website:

https://www.downsizer.net

forums:

https://forum.downsizer.net/index.php

We're trying to create a resource and ideas exchange for people that want to make a change in the way they live; growing veg, sustainable construction, stuff like that. Anyway as you can see we need a little bit of input on the graphics of the site, especially a decent logo, does anyone fancy doing a freebie (we will pay if we must, but we're not for profit so obviously we'd rather not)

jnicklo:
Please post a little more about the logo. What are you looking for?

I see it's for a good cause so instead of using my free time for Photoshop Tennis, I might be interested in helping you out w/ a logo.

TimJanson:
Hey Joe, this coould be a way to introduce a Logo Contest to this forum. I might be in for this.

Rachel:
I took a look at your forum Tahir and it looks really interesting! I'm going to send a link to some of my crazy vegetarian friends.

em0ti0n:
Tim, thats a good idea. I'd be willing to take part in it.

So shall we wait and see what (if anything) anyone comes up with for us?

well I think that is a fantastic effort

I think it should instantly replace the current logo

The only issue I think is size, I do think we need for the final logo to trim the height, and also the width, to give us more flexibilty in the design.

That forum competition sounds good. They have regular comps on another forum I visit, but the going rate seems to have increased to £75 with 2nd and 3rd prizes.

The other thing is, the file size is obviously bigger. Let me know what physical size you'd like the image.
