Looks like I'm going to have to use a stock proof fence of 1.8-1.9M PLUS a rabbit mesh at the bottom (clipped on), I assume I'll need a return of 12" at the base, should it also be buried? And if so at what depth.

Ideally I want it to keep out foxes, deer and rabbits

ISTR that you either go 6" down and a foot outwards or 18" outwards. If you don't bury it then presumably you'd need to cut the grass before putting it in and peg it down at regular intervals.
