tis a problem isn't it You then get a bit of relief when they are old enough to travel with, get half fares and can be crammed with you into one room, then after that costs sky rocket again.

We are counting off the last few years until we get the freedom to travel again.

Travel ain't exactly ecologically sound, but we are none of us perfect, we are the products of all the influences on us, and I will admit to gaining massive enjoyment through travel

Travel can be "ecologically sound", for want of a better expression.

If all we did was look afte the planet, it would be a very green, but very boring place!

At least the likes of us do our bit.

I'm sure that pound for pound we do more good than Kyoto could!

I have jetted to the US several times, Oz once and various other less distant places. Jetting is meant to be very very bad

But I do want to do it again

"Jetting" IS very bad.

I have only ever been to Paris, once, a long time ago, at college.

I have never flown anywhere. but have been on a ferry. Don't want/mean to sound self-righteous, but have little desire to go abroad. In my mind, I would like to go to various places, but in my heart, I suspect I will never do that. That's fine, by me. Scotland is a big country...................
