Going to get some great mileage out of this week. Got a very large free range chicken and had it with local spuds & carrots, plus cabbage and spinach from the garden for sunday lunch Only used one breast so with a bit of ingenuity should have meals until at least thursday sorted.

I fancy doing a UK week - just not this week! We had our local stuff last night: Chicken: Foxbury farm, 40 miles spuds: Whitchurch, 8 miles cauliflour and peas: Mill house farm, 1.5 miles broad beans from the garden I think I might have done all the easy stuff. Next week might have to be a bit more inventive!

managed a local challenge meal last night. Roast belly pork slices from local farm with homegrown garlic spuds from plot cabbage from plot carrots from farm shop - 4 miles raspberries, strawberries and redcurrants from plot for pud

Last nights fare was Grilled Trout courtesy of no 2 son 6 miles New potatoes from local organic farm Salad leaves and herbs from veg patch first two tomatoes from poly tunnel Butter on spuds made from cream from friends dairy herd yoghurt ditto above Strawberries from plot
