guereilla forestry is fine by me .
there are many places where trees will thrive if they get there ,i plant where ever seems suitable ,some will thrive .
ive got my eye on lots of seeds from a maple/ sycamore cross which someone has debarked last winter , why?,
it will make a nice valley grove somewhere ,not exactly native ancestors but a native hybrid i suspect .
long term thinking is good ,mixed woodland is good .in a couple of generations ,if all goes well ,what we plant will be maturing woodland .
folk worry about the loss of rain forest but britain is down to a few %of what it had 10000 yrs ago
up to the planters to plant
