The old chap is getting a heart shaped toad in the hole and a home-made card. There was a card in the top of my wellies this morning, and he says there will be something after choir this evening.

Now I'm scared.

The OH is on the mototrway from South Wales with a 3 year old covered in sick. I may have to get some flowers from the garage.

Chocolate does at least come by sea. As one thing with a whole load of others.

OK OK yes probably too many food miles involved... (but at least choc could still come by sea, albeit under sail, in a suitable time scale for it)

This is what I got on my kitchen sink this morning.

Now how did he know I'd look there ?

The smell is lovely and out of all proportion to the size of the flowers.

We had heart-shaped eggs on heart-shaped toast for tea, followed by heart shaped pancakes, I think they all thought I had gone slightly nuts, but I enjoyed myself

Heart-shaped pancakes, that's a brilliant idea - I'd love to find a heart shaped crèpe pan !!

I don't usually do Christmas and Mother's day and all that sort of thing, but violets are so lovely and they cost nothing except the trouble to know where they grow and to go and get them.

If you're a couple (especially if you're working together on a muddy building site and you've just spent all weekend butchering and preparing pig meat for storing.) I think it's really romantic to get a little reminder that you're sweethearts too.

When I got OH's card, they had put these things strategically on the counter where unsuspecting twits like me would go - oh that's nice I always needed one of those So obligingly I did, and found myself the proud owner of a heart shaped silicone thing, that you can por batter into to make pancakes or eggs...... from Cargo - £3.99
