What shall I do with them? Can't resist drying them: the climber at the front is smothered with flowers!

Shortbread.... Crumble them up and use in the same way as lavender for lavender shortbread. Or you can crystalise some of the slightly less dry ones and dress the rose creams that you have put some of the more dry ones into....

makes me want a rose bush now (no space for one really though ...)

stick then in ice cubes ... pimms over ice is lovely and pretty rose icecubes would be sweet ... dress up a GunT too

gulkand, basically molasses (or any treacly sugary stuff) and rose petals in roughly equal weights

Put them in cider vinegar - makes brillaint salad dressing.

what about inventing a cake or bread that uses them Mochyn, bet yoru regular baked goodies buyers would love that

Dad loves it, it's sort of rose flavoured sweet gunk. I guess it'd go on toast if you like that soert of thing. He just has a teaspoon every now and then

The pity about using any botanicals in recipes is that they usually end up going brown and gunky looking. Be interested to hear how the cake turns out Mochyn.

Well, I used the yoghurt cake recipe from the archive, added 2 tbsps rose water and an extra 50g of flour and put a dried petal in each little case to make fairy cakes. Yummy!
