I've just picked up my first livestock: two fantastic Indian Runners. Black with white fronts, hence names of Bib (F) & Tucker (M). They're getting cosy in their run, spending a lot of time in the pondle and chatting to each other. Will I sleep tonight? I doubt it...

Congratulations. Are you hoping for them to raise a few ducklings next year then? It would be great to see some pics when you have time.

I don't know if you remember my previous attempts at loading pics, but I'll have another try! They're mainly for eggs, but I think a few ducklings would be good too. They're not show-standard birds, so they'll be just for me. Off to put batteries in the camera...

Good for you M. The first step in livestock is always a big one. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours!

Well done!

No: can't do it: the attachment is too big, apparently, and I can't reduce it. I'll put them on photobucket, perhaps, tomorrow. Someone remind me!

There's no rush and if you need any help I'll help or I'm sure Bugs will as she loves IRDs.

Very happy to help Mochyn, as TD says. They sound beautiful (if that's possible ). Or you could try Sean and his shiny newish Mac, which might be more compatible with your pics.

Congratulations on your new arrivals...two of our three hens are now broody and it was very lucky all round that when I looked at Farmwoody's site last week, she'd run out of IRD hatching eggs

And for the introductions: that's Tucker, standing guard, and Bib asleep. Aaaaah!

I've just been down to visit them. They're getting braver each time: now they eat out of their bowl only a couple of feet from my wellies. Soon have them eating out of my hand I think I'm in love!
