Yes it is possible to use the traps at the bottom of that days tide HOWEVER be aware that the tide is always either rising or falling in maximum or minimum height. Make sure you lay the traps at low water on a falling height tide or you could have to wait 3 1/2 weeks before you can get back to them. The solution would be to lay them higher than the low water mark on rising height tides and at low water at falling height tides, CHECK YOUR TIDE TABLES AND DO NOT TAKE CHANCES, THE SEA IS TOTALLY UNFORGIVING AND A LOBSTER OR CRAB IS NOT WORTH LIFE.

People will lift your traps if they see you set them, however 'the early bird' usually gets to the trap first.
