My OH has a pair very similar to the ones in the link in the OP. He finds them very good for walking to and from work when the pavements are well covered, and they came in a bag/pouch which makes it easy to pop them in his backpack. They are uncomfortable in shops and once the snow is patchy, so he didn't wear them once the first lot of snow was thawing, and promptly fell over

I got them from https://www.roofbox.co.uk/snow-chains/shoe-chains.php

One of the girls I used to work with had a pair of something similar to first post. She complained that they were difficult to fit and sometimes unclipped themselves from her shoes while she was walking. Said the elastic effect catapulted her across the road, but this may be exaggeration (though she was only tiny)
