Has anyone had success using pig manure as an alternative to horse manure?

I have lots of the stuff which is mixed with straw that is currently just dumped in a corner of a field.

Thanks

Franco

Also high in phosphates.
They will attach to the colloidal soil particles so no threat in the short term but if used extensively over many years could result in ground water contamination.
Composting will break down the hot nitrogen but it has no effect on phosphates.
