'Course you do, that's why I said the same thing!

See deer calibres for the reason!

Hi
I took up flytying with a class run by the local trout fishing association.
I can't admit to any skill in the art form.
But I decided to let the fish be the judge of my creations.
So far they haven't been impressed

Does anyone know of a supplier of saltpetre or borax for curing capes.
I've asked in our local pharamacies and have been told they are both unavailable.
I recently culled off some cocks and have had to use common salt in an attempt to cure the capes. They seem to be ok so far but they are still rather weepy.
Cheers
Martyn.

Hi Marrane, if you post up a new topic in either make your own or the recipes about saltpetre & borax you may get more info. People do seem to get hold of saltpetre for bacon so assume you could to.

There are a few suppliers, but i'd rather another thread was started so you can get a few peoples opinion on the best place to get it.
