Two year-old British Giant does came up on my local pet rehoming fb group last night. Currently they are in the conservatory. Apparently they are called Rosie and Flumpy. Rosie's just bitten me.

I'm going to really annoy them both in a minute - they need their ears washing out and mite treatment putting in them. They're really bad

Aren't they usually kept as house rabbits?
I will never be convinced you can effectively litter train a rabbit. Can they live in a garden run?
Big pies though

You've just got them, they have no idea what the hell is going on and they are all itchy with ear mites - I'd be a bit grumpy too!

Our neighbour has one of those. It's grown huge beast and needs regular bottom washes.

I understand that if they get very big they can suffer from erm, *intimate* hygiene issues. They aren't nearly as big as I was expecting, to be honest. But it may just be that I have downgraded the rabbit sizing categories in my head, in order to facilitate rabbit acquisition. 'Giant rabbit with a personal hygiene problem' sound so intimidating, doesn't it? 'Relatively big rabbit with a dirty tail' sounds so much nicer.

They are sitting under the futon and Leo is filming them on his iPad, with elucidating commentary in a number of accents. I think I may have spawned the next Jonny Morris. (Is is okay to still like Jonny Morris, isn't it? I switched off after Rolf Harris).

Apparently his programme is called 'Animal Facts'.

I haven't mentioned the intimate hygiene issues to him, I promise.

You can litter train a rabbit where to crap, my sister had one. It used to go visit my Mum a few doors down untill the freezer defrosted and they found it it was the *"%$@&** Wabbit that had chewed through the lead as you can't train it what to eat. (Un)fortunately it wasn't fried doing so! Large Pie came into my Dads head at the time.
