Can't find a heading to put this under, and the hydrangea is growing here.
How do I dry them for winter arrangements? In water? Out of water? Hanging upside down in a shed? Leave them on the bush?
None seem to work for me without wilting or fading colour. Anyone know the correct procedure?

in a dark dry airy place is a good bet. iirc that is how my mum used to do them.

they do collect dust when used in a display.

there is a rumour that the dried flowers are psychoactive but im not sure if it is true as the plants contain cyanogenic glycosides it may well be the cyanosis rather than any alkaloid effects.
