That sounds really nice MR.

Plenty of baby sparrows being fed by mum at dad at the feed station.

It's also fun to watch the wood pigeons trying to work out how to get itself on to the feeder. It hasn't managed it yet.

Wood pigeons aren't really acrobats. It took a while for the robin in the garden to work out how to get on to the nut feeder, but after a while it got the hang of it. Robins are probably a bit brighter than pigeons, except in pathfinding.

I have one or two plants with yellow colouring on this year. Not sure why. Some of the blackberries are coming through yellow. Is that an Oregon blackberry as the leaves are not the same as the ordinary ones?

It is.Oregon Thornless.I didn't have my specs on, so will take a magnifying glass and specs out there when the rain stops...there are some butterflies/moths that lay eggs on them....I hope it is that and not rust (this year's garlic is covered in rust 😥)

That appears to be a rust to me.
Would be a different species than the one on your garlic however.

fungi are wildlife, some even walk

some gardeners say, spray and or dig and burn, dpack says, see if it crops and take things from there

as mentioned, my rust never sleeps and is no problem

that was an interesting start to the day

sudden kerfuffle in a closed chimney, ripped off tape, opened hatch, grabbed one jackdaw which had grabbed the other one.

having inhaled soot and retained one bird, i threw up while releasing it, got dog out of rooms, got second bird out after about ten mins

they both seemed relatively unharmed, not much of a bite on em compared to domestic fowl or parrots, i am recovering, the dog is hiding upstairs

That's rather nice. I think we may have a robin nesting in another part of the front loader in the 'yard'. Didn't see the bluetits the other day, so they may have fledged. Thought we saw a red kite yesterday, but then it swooped down and we realised it was probably part of the birds of prey display at the show we were at.
