hi guys i have a landrover defender for sale. it is a 2.5 diesel county 7 seater. d reg. power steering, 5 speed gear box. it has below 40,000 miles on the clock which to the best of my knowledge is genuine. i have not used it for off-roading just to get mr bunnykiller and i to the allotment with tools. it is very reliable.

i am asking £3200 ovno.

looks very tempting... but one has to be sensible...
for a start we don't need another vehicle, and would be unlikely to to go off road more than about twice a year.... so could we really justify!! (probably not!)

but let us know if it's still around in 6 weeks time when we plan to be in your neck of the woods.. . and 6 weeks is about as long as it might take to discuss/justify with OH! (who's an archaeologist and so (you would have thought) it would be just the sort of vehicle required... or certainly a step up (literally) from a battered peugeot 106....

I think someone got an absolute bargain!!....Mine's a B reg with 150k on the clock, been off roaded loads, suspension is weary, engine smoky, but that went for £3600!

Not long bought a discovery 2.5 tdi G reg £2500.00 bargain, put it in for its mot and it sailed through, since buying it though i have had it serviced, put some heavy duty springs on the rear for towing purposes and had to change the master and slave clutch cylinders

rather sad it wasn't us but good that you got it sold.
OH was quite keen actually - it wouldn't have taken too much/any persuading if it had still been there when we come down your way in a few weeks time! We have been defender spotting for the past 2 weeks and busily justifying the need for one!!

It looked good in the picture and the price was fair. Shame you are so far away or I would have been tempted

Blimey, I picked up my B Reg Ninety with just 90K on the clock from a local farmer for £600! Mind you, there's not a panel that hasn't got a few dents, and I've spent the best part of £800 getting it fettled, but it's nice to know I could maybe even make a profit if I flogged it.
Trouble is, I'm too darned fond of it, slow as it is. It must be a Land Rover thing - they're noisy, uncomfortable, leaky and curmidgeonly but we can't bear to part with 'em.
Just like our partners, really!
