Like when we have a discussion on here about the evils of supermarket meat and we get ads for chickens from Ocado and fresh meat from Tesco

saynoto0870 and moneysavingexpert are good from the above list; not heard of the others. Any more info about them Jonsey?

I had to take off the google ads for my Carrier bags are rubbish article trying to stop people from using carrier bags, as yes you guessed it, they were all for carrier bags.

yes, the other sites are for saving money on internet shopping such as tesco sainsburys and also shows best offers and deals on all types of products from dixons so on. yes i know about some peoples views on supermarket shopping but some of us are not quite extreme as may be others because we are iether to busy with jobs and kids, but we are also set in our ways with what has been passed on to us from other generations like our parents. i know this isnt right but it is about money and making a saving you know who's pocket it is better of in. these sites show discount codes for online shopping and these codes are for the privilaged high spenders but have been posted on these types of sites for the average spender who are not entitled, through this loophole these large companys have been loosing fortunes. i only started recycleing 2 years ago ever since we moved to chelmsford and they started the scheme, maybe now i shouled change my views on supermarket shopping but then my next job would be to change my wife as she does the shopping.

I saw the post and just wanted to add that if anyone is looking for information/guides on financial products, here are some sites that I have checked out:

https://www.moneynet.co.uk/ (this one's in the Good Web Guide), ignore the pop ups because the site is actually genuine in its impartial results. Don't expect much entertainment value though, it's straight and to the point.

https://www.moneyextra.com/ (popular number, have come across it on a few sites)

https://www.uswitch.com/directory/index.aspx?ref (this one's also pretty cool)

I have to admit I haven't always been as proactive as I should have been with my finances, but these sites do make product comparison much easier.

Here's one: www.pricerunner.co.uk - compare prices for everything from books to fridges to bills for both online & 'traditional' companies. It's also useful to compare the companies themselves for customer service & delivery etc. Have bought quite a few things this way & made big savings...
