wildearth tv on freeview
a bunch of african wildlife folk have worked together to live stream what is going on in their protected areas
real time critter observation
not glossy like most critter tv shows
the folk in the truck know what they are showing or are comfy being unsure as to what it is or what it may be doing. mostly they really know both.
interactive if you have a sensible and interesting question(and online them)
slow telly most of the time, with sudden bursts of excitement sometimes
i'm rather taken with the format, glossy edits and hi res filming has a role, this crew are showing observation with interpretation in real time
i find that more interesting and the way observers watch critters, the way the giraffes secured themselves at a waterhole was a slow watch that is never shown in 30 second example cuts within the glossy tv programs
at times an hour watching a snoozing cheetah or "just as we came on air the elephants went behind that little ridge" is exactly what it is like observing and trying to get images to share
i had not thought "raw footage" with a few wise words could be good telly, it is, although it may not be to mainstream critter tv show tastes
