We braved the Arctic wastes to fetch our turkey from Alison today! And darn fine it looks too! A delicious Christmas dinner is now guaranteed.

It was great seeing you all.

Has Ben thawed out from his quad surfing?

The courier couldn't guarentee the boxes would get delivered, once they were out of his hands, and into the other companies that do the national delivery.

Fair enough, I suppose - better than taking them and them not reaching their destinations . But crummy for you and your customers. I'm sorry, Alison, it's horrible to have all your plans knocked out like this .

To be fair, we live on a mainish road as does Alison. I was chatting to a courier delivering to my neighbour this morning and he was saying there were lots of the villages he couldn't get to. He was about to park up and carry a parcel by hand round to one one the roads still too icy.

My Mum is still snowed in.

We are, too. I could get the car out down the drive, but there's no way I could get it back up; if I have to go out then it'll be an emergency.
