(Japanese parsley)?

If so, any good? Are there problems with slugs'n'snails?

Do you mean Mitzuna? I grow it and like rocket it seems more slugs/snail resistant than lettuce, though I do fling a few pellets around the pots when the plants are small.

Ed. to say: Having actually Googled Mitsuba I realise I'm talking rubbish . Mitzuna is still worth a punt though, if you haven't grown it before.

I only grew mitsuba once, and it was no more affected by snails and slugs than ordinary parsley, i.e. they more or less left it alone. I didn't grow it again though because I didn't really like it.

Interestingly, for reasons that aren't immediately apparent to me, kintsai (Chinese celery) laughs off slugs in the way that ordinary celery doesn't.

Mizuna is a different plant, and its one of my very favourite salad plants. And snails love it. And flea beetles. And on one occasion I found a cat chewing on it.

The answer's still no from both of us though. We should just move quietly to one side at this point I think.
