I don't know how large you need it, but we have a big rat cage going free. (Sad death in the family last week) Probably much too small anyway, but you're welcome to it if it's any use, and we can get it delivered somehow.

Wouldn't one of those large dog travel cages do the job. You could fix some ramps in it for the ferret to climb on easily and add a sleeping box etc and with the base tray being removable they are easy to clean out. It is just a thought?

good idea but i like to give my animals as much room as feasable the reason i asked for one as i have three outside but i have been given one that has been found and she apears to be a pet verses a working Ferrit so the soft misses wants to keep it in the house.

We were thinking of thise upright ones like a Parrot cages with platforms etc but we priced em today £225.00 which is expensive in my books

You can get dog travel crates big enough for St Bernards! They are all metal weld mesh and are used by vets surgeries as holding crates for animals after surgery etc

Click on the above link to see some.
I am sure they would be big enough for a ferret?

There are some on ebay, I got a smallish one, with 3 levels not floors for my ferret, cost 55 GBP - might be a tight fit for more than on ferret though.

Problem is, the holes in the mesh would likely be big enough for a ferret too!

New prices for all pet cages are quite expensive.
A few years back, I was surprised just how expensive bird cages were...
I'd expect you might be able to adapt any cage of appropriate security and size.
So eBay, local papers, etc...
There's someone in Norwich selling an 80x80x50 cm chipmunk or ferret cage for £40 on https://www.adtrader.co.uk

The one my sister bought for her Newfoundland puppy to travel in was huge, but the mesh on it wasn't any bigger than my small dog travel cage, so I guess it depends on which ones you buy?
Failing using a dog crate I have seen a large chest of drawers adapted as a house for a ferret. The drawers removed and a mesh door put on as a front and you can do what you like inside it!

Sorry taken a while to reply - it's probably much too small, but it's about one and a half foot wide, by two and a half foot long by 14 inches high. Plastic bottom with mesh top.

You're very welcome to it, or anyone else who can put it to some use.

xx

Aww those babies are so cute!

Here's our rascal, Mimi - her first day was spent in a box as the cage hadn't arrived, we've had her for a fortnight and she's teaching us loads already :)

Looking like an otter: (sorry about the size and quality!)

What a beauty, Azura.
Do ferrets catch mice?
