I wanted some new dishes. I found these were discontinued in 1967

https://www.robbinsnest.com/japan-fine-china/fine-china/vintage.html

I got a big set of over 50 pieces now, including a serving platter, salt and pepper shakers, and sugar and creamer. Including the regular stuff, plates, coffee cups, saucers etc.

I'm giddy, lol, I've never had this much matching dinnerware in my life. It's used, but new to me!

*doing a happy dance*

I love thrift stores.

Pretty . A good thing about old dinner services is that the plates are usually small compared to modern ones, so you are less inclined to overeat.

I didn't break down all the prices on the website, they looked scary!

I paid $58.00 usd equal now to 36.4688 gbp. (Sorry I don't have the money sign on my puter for the gbp.) The original price at the thrift store was $135.00 usd/84.8844 gbp. They were waiting for a poor lady like me to come along.

I'm washing them up now and trying to figure where the cupboard space is going to come from to store them. I have made plans to donate Tupperware and stoneware dishes to the thrift shop.
