Picked up 4 huge bags of bananas for 30p a bag this week and just gone through them, I have 8 kg of perfectly ripe bananas, just a few brown spots on the skin and 3 kg of squishy very over ripe bananas that are perfect for banana bread.
11kg of bananas for £1.20 .....
I can see some fruit scrolls being made when we are sick of fresh bananas and custard lol.

Not got an ice cream maker and certainly no room in the freezer I'm afraid.
Looks like I'm making custard later though

A curry can be greatly enhanced with sliced banana on top. Sounds awful, tastes divine.

We don't really drink at all and brewing my own wine just doesn't interest me, I make mead but thats it.
I am one of these people that really doesn't like fruit in curries in any form....

On the up side bananas was one of the fruits Aaron really didn't like but tonight he came over to me, picked the last couple of inches of my banana, blew a raspberry at me and toddled off stuffing it in his gob so that's pudding for him sorted for the week lol.

Nah, when we emptied the spare room for Aaron's room we found a couple of tins of candy canes and lollies. Must off been in there for a few years so not sure if they will be tricks or treats for them....

Try this - just peel bananas - slice roughly and put into a bag or tub and freeze.
When you want them - just chuck into blender/ food processor and wizz - makes a pretty nice banana "icecream" desert with nothing but bananas - it is really just like icecream and is perfect if you want a pud and have gluten free/ dairy free/vegetarian guests as they can eat it

If you want some dairy - you can just wizz some cream or yoghurt in the blender - or for variety a few frozen berries..
but its fine with just the bananas - so you can keep it simple
