Any users amongst our number? Any experiences / opinions?

As of recently we can get 100Mbs FO broadband for £34 ish / month - £29 ish/month for the first three months. (That price is for broadband only - no other package elements).

Upload speed not obvious from their blurb, but some googling suggests 20Mbs.

Apparently the 100Mbs is automatically upgraded to 120Mbs at no extra cost when the right bits of kit are in place.

Ooh, interesting info on that page about VM's hybrid system. There's a comms street cabinet just round the corner which I'd assumed was BTs. Hmm.

I wounder if, like with standard broadband, the speeds are also affected by the amount of users using the service?

But I think that's just for downloading. I mean contention ratio's. Broadband suppliers have been wylie buggers with that in the past.

They've been ace for me. Been with them for about 6 years. No snags. When I moved thy were even happy for me to stop their service mid contract, and I restarted it again but with £100 cash back from quidco. Fandabbydozy

Is it not about time they stopped increasing peoples super fast to super dooper fast BB when lots still cant get mediocre slow BB?

We have always had virgin and I get good speeds from them, I don't know about upload but I can download ~500mb in minutes and I think we are only on the 20MB package

Went with Virgin cable when we moved here. Mostly because it avoided the hassle of getting a BT line before even thinking about the internet. Went with the net/phone/tv package - works out around £40 a month including calls. No real problems. Reception on some tv channels dodgy but expect that could be put right if we were bothered.

Quite.

However we need to change phone and broadband provider. We will never have even moderately speedy but it would be nice to not have it cut out whenever the wind changes direction, it rains...
