I have already signed this, there was a previous thread on the same subject here last week but any reminder that keeps the topic in the limelight is good. So often apathy stops people signing these things (and voting) and making their voices heard.

This page from Real Seeds has useful information including the latest changes and background to why this law is damaging, even despite the changes.

Isn't there already similar legislation in place? This was why the late Lawrence Hills started the Heritage Seed Library.

It was posted on our gardening forums last week, but most of us missed it, been lobbing it everywhere for good coverage.

The loss of genetic diversification would be a disaster, who knows what new problems we might face in the future.

All the details are here https://www.realseeds.co.uk/seedlaw.html

And have you read them?
In fact, the details are here.

Interesting question for the table though: if these rules had been in place, would they have done anything to curb the import of Chalara fraxinea?

I don't know if they will be able to.

I bet a lot of people don't save seeds, they buy new ones each year, or plugs, and still get a harvest.
