This grows every year in my garden and my mother once told me its name but I have now forgotten it and mum has since passed away. There is a buttercup in the bottom left to give you an idea of scale. Hello candyknitter.

The plant is Astrantia major, commonly Masterwort. It's a beauty, isn't it? There are some lovely pink and red varieties available.
