Completely new experience for me and a steep learning curve - as far as I'm aware a 'fun' breed and not that waterproof, their feathers go straight when wet. They are very friendly. It's important to only breed 'frizzle' to 'straight' otherwise the feathers are too brittle.

I've had a few frizzles over the years. Never had a problem with the rain - they just go under the shelter until it stops. The winter didn't seem to bother them either, as long as they had someone to snuggle up to.

Lovely little birds.
