This is just a forward-planning request for pekin (or bantam silkie) hatching eggs - in a month or so. Wimborne, Dorset. I've lost my regular supplier so thought it best to seek out anyone in my area who may be able to supply a few.

I know that, as soon as it warms up, my three ladies will take to their beds and get all motherly!

Thank you.

I should have Millefleur pekin by then; and silkie/pekin cross from my Dr Moreau's Island pen. I'm not keen on posting though - I might be able to get them over to Gardening Girl at Ilminster or Gythagirl near Yeovil if that is any help to you.

Thank you for your kind offer - but it's a tad too far away. Much appreciated though.

Did you find anyone? My silkie numbers are critical, and I'll be down in the New Forest in a couple of weeks.

Couldn't find any purebred silkies...just crosses. Ended up with buff pekin and the silkie/wyandotte cross eggs.

However, there's a guy on Facebook - New Forest Poultry, called https://www.facebook.com/dan.silkiespolishpekin

who may be able to help.

He's in the Brockenhurst area I think.
