I have some bread dough that I made in the bread maker and then froze.

Now, I've taken a couple out to defrost and bake in the oven but they are not rising properly on the defrost, so the bread is really dense and inedible.

Is there anything I can do to help with a decent rise from defrost or is all lost?

it might be the yeast is dormant rather than dead, defrost then incubate at 25C overnight or longer

if that does not do it abandon hope or roll em flat and cook em fast on a dry griddle and they may puff up with steam

Or pizza bases. Roll thin, cover and leave warm for some hours. Any rise is a result. No rise isn’t a disaster.
