i am trying to find kit to give maximum aperture with minimum front clearance and only a little wasted on total width

double bifold barn door style might work

beyond me at the mo, but fairly urgent, any advice?

You can, or could, get doors that were narrow sections that ran on a track and went round to be against the side wall so although the overall width of the building was slightly narrower, they were completely out of the way. Probably be expensive though.

We have those on our ancient garage. Completely rusted over now sadly. They must have been a 'thing' many decades ago and would have avoided problems with the gentle slope that the drive has.

I was going to suggest a tambour system, but I thought you all might think I was daft...

thanks folks

double bypass ordered, with an extra 300 mm or so that will get cut off
to give enough track to put both out of the way at one end

sliders increases the useful growing area by a couple of sq meters and gives full frontage access

the filing cabinet gets an end door of its own

a load of board and timber ordered as well
at last i have a plan, not drawn plans, a plan and a man to do it

this thing will cost about the same as a decent pre made shed that would then need radical customizing to make best use of limited space
