frugal bit, a bamboo and recycled plastic washing up brush, 4 and a half stars, £3, prime(ie a prebooked service for a yearly fee) delivered tomorrow, less fuss and energy than 2 rides to a shop with overpriced and disappointing brushes
if i dont think about how it was made, it seems ethical
We find it increasingly difficult to buy things like stationery, hardware etc. in actual shops and have to resort to mail order. We have no idea where it comes from; in some cases there is no option but to buy from China, or some other place where we would prefer not to buy.

I try to avoid Amazon but some things are only available there (e.g. specific books). Many other items available locally are the same junk but marked up.
As I was saying to another browser as we stood in front of a local, independent bookshop - I wanted a series of 12 paperbacks for the bookcase - £48.80 delivered from Amazon in 3 days or £98 from the local Waterstones with no timescale as they were not on the shelves.
Buying a computer in years to come should be fun. John Lewis does MacBooks (not an Apple User) laptops and Chrome Pads with some all in one items. Have a preference for the old fashioned desktop with a separate screen and keyboard. And that's the nearest reputable supplier.
It's a market where so many home users do everything on one of these posh but capable mobile phones. And the UK does not make mobile phones.
