Ignore the heartless wench, AS, that's a lovely fluffy creature - far more practicle than a dog.

lol mary jane

cheers all - he is a cutey (and another surprise, the males tend to be a lot calmer and lazier, whereas the females are very active and curious. but there is more difference between personalities than sexes).
also he likes going walkies on his lead hehe! (i get my ferrets vaccinated against canine distemper, as it can be lethal to them)

never ever feed them sugary foods (fruits, veg, etc) they are very sensitive to sugar - strict meat eaters!

hehe maryj ;-)

oh and to answer the original post they are sold by breeders for £5-£15
but i got my other boy Dibbler from the Rspca at £25, all his vaccinations done, spayed and microchipped and helped out a ferret in need. so a £5 ferret can cost upto £150 after you've done all the vaccinations etc.

What's the microchipping for?

the microchipping is done in case you lose the ferret - dogs and cats can get microchipped too. It only work if whoever finds your lost pet hands it in to the vets and they scan it - then your name and details is in the chip! (the size of a grain of rice) strange.
lots of ferrets get lost, maybe thrown out. Im about to adopt another ferret who was found wandering swansea town centre - maybe he was out for a pint and his evening got ruined with someone handing him into the rescue centre, bless.

Could I just question the spelling of 'wiffly' in MJ's sig?
And maybe Gervase could have ferrets if you could have a goat.

Oh, just to say that colleague is now the proud owner of a female ferret - fudge - the best money he's spent, apparently.

Cheers,

Peter.

We are getting into dangerous bacon slicer territory here. Did you get your advanced negotiating badge in Scouts?

yeah = ping pong balls in the bath are alot of a fun, with and without water : )

I have recentley adopted this little man from a rescue - his name is Mikko, he's an albino, no idea how old though, but he's a sweetheart. I also discovered cat litter called 'yesterday's news' - its great, unlike woodpellets it leaves no dust!

my niece giving him a cuddle
