Anyone tell me what to do with a patch I have just taken over which has a couple of rows of Autumn Bliss raspberries that look woody and as though they havent been pruned down for some time.
Do I scrap them or prune them now or later?
They seem to have sent suckers up around each cane so should these be removed .
It seems a shame to dig them up so I am asking for advice from experienced fruit growers! The growth on them looks healthy no sign of virus etc?

Personally, I'd let them be this season and prune after fruiting. They might not give you as good a yield as they might otherwise, and they may be a bit unwieldly, but you'll get away with it.
