When my boys were growing up we bought a kit to attach a swing to an oak tree. The tree, of course, did not have any low branches to hang the swing from so we found this kit that had a wooden arm attached to the tree with two chains screwed into the tree to keep it steady. Any ideas where to find this? Would love to put one up again for my grandchildren. Thx!

If you could give me a rough design and some dimensions I could probably make one.
Might be better to clamp around the tree rather than screw into it ?

A clamp might harm the cambian (sp?) bark layer and kill the tree. Better to play safe and use non harmful srews?....Not sure what's best.....anodysed or copper?...Second thoughts, the clamp wouldn't have to be tight, as the torsion will act vertically downwards, so just nice soft curvy edges on the clamp.
