I have literally got 100s of postcards in a big heap in my bedroom (the reason why is quite complicated). I have no idea what to do with them and i just can't throw them away! I have already stuck as many on my walls as will fit (they make quite a nice tile effect) but i have no more room. I have tried folding them and sticking them together to make plantpots, but all the plants i put in them succumbed to strange and interesting diseases so i don't really want to do that again. And there are far too many to send in the post. Any ideas?

Use them to enter competitions for something you do want

See if there is a school/scrapscheme in your area that would make use of them for arts etc.

Papiermache...probably too glossy

Selling them seems a good plan!

When at school I used to back A4 folders in postcards then cover then in sticky back plastic which would turn a quite dull folder into an interesting one so if you or someone you know has use for folders that might be a use

send everyone you know a post card, everyone likes getting post?

Check your local paper for details of your local auction house - they often have specific open days for this kind of collection, where you can take it to be valued.

Alternatively, you could give them to a charity such as the RNLI.

Or check out this interesting American lady:

You could use them to make table mats by putting 4 together and covering with plastic.
Put them on a table top and cover with a sheet of glass.
Cover an old tray and varnish them.
Make an Album to keep them in using black paper and photo corners, make a cardboard cover and punch holes in the whole thing and tie with cord.

Hang on to them for about 50 years - and they will become valuable antiques.

Why not stick them in a scarbook and give to the kids ward in a local hospital
