i have just moved house and have a large elderberry bush in the garden and i wanted to make some home brew wine but i dont no how to make it can enyone please help me
i dont have any brewing equipment or any knowledge

thanks very much jemma your help was realy appreciated and ill let you no how i get on with making it. two last questions would it work in my garden shed? and is it true they explode?

No and No.

You really need a decent stable temp to brew.

garden shed ok if you ferment over the summer (a bit impossible with elderberries cos of when you pick 'em)

anywhere shed garage etc is ok if you use an aquarium heater to keep pour fermenting must at the right temperature

Yes and only if you want it to.

It'll be better made indoors, but the old tradition of brewing in the shed is alive and well in some parts. So it depends whether you want good wine or gutrot

Wine won't explode unless it's bottled while still brewing; let it rest out properly and stabilise with a little sulfite and you're laughing. Haven't had one pop in years.

i got some rhubarb champagne maturing in the garage - but that is well corked down.
