The BBC kids sites are good IMHO.

downloads.com can be quite a good search engine for things like that this was a search for free educational games but I am not sure if their searchs are reproducible from the url do this might not work

Lots of stuff on the BBC sites that are very good. Also lots of very useful revision stuff for when they are older too. Be careful though Tahir, as soon as they get access to the PC, they will leave you behind. Our thirteen year old is setting up web sites for all her friends

Somewhere on the Money Saving Expert website there was something by a teacher looking for free stuff for her class...pretty awful isn't it? If I come across it again I'll post it up here - although almost all my non-work browsing these days is here with the odd nose at River Cottage.

https://www.abcteach.com/ this site has worksheets you can download and print off to do together. As others have said though BBC is probably you're best bet. https://www.noradsanta.org/ and this one is seasonal at the moment!

I looked at the DK site, it's all intercative online stuff, I'm after stuff that can be downloaded and used later. I'll look through the rest tomorrow, thanks everybody.

winsite has a good selection of free downloads. https://www.winsite.com/free/ Ive used this site for years and have one or 2 programs on there myself

Tahir, do they have to be down loadable. We use the Knowledge adventure jump ahead series and all the children love them.

Definitely downloadable, we're dial up at home so that rules out online interactive and i don't want any unnecessary bits of plastic so that rules out CD's.

re: what titles are mine at winsite.... if you type Dolls into the search it will bring up Dressupdolls which is mine and you can see all titles by that author if you click on the link to dressupdolls ..Was not really trying to plug my progs though, they are all amateur attempts at programs and I just put them up there to share with anyone who fancied having a go at them.
