This is one I use. It uses dried Apricots but I am sure you could adapt it.

1lb dried apricots
8oz stoned dates
3/4 pt strong tea
1lb onions
1lb cooking apples
1lb demerara sugar

Juice them add about 5% by volume honey and makes a rather nice Jelly
