I finally got my old boiler working so for now at last I have heat and hot water.
I bought a brand new thermocouple on Sunday but it was for the wrong boiler make number (my mistake) ... |

Where the gas fire is, that is where I would have a stove but I am in a smokeless zone so cannot have wood or logs 
I am in 2 minds about wall cavity insulation as I have heard good and bad about ... |

I haven't got the wall cavities done so will look into that.
The 2 bedroom chimneys have got cast iron lids so draughts are not as bad, but the 2 chimneys down stairs in the loun ... |
