I kinda like the tube effect but according to my mum in law you need to do an edge of plain knitting.

By that, do you mean ending every row with a knit, regardless of whether it is a knit or purl r ...

That looks lovely Ele, is it a pattern or did you invent it?

I didn't notice til I started using it all the little black flecks, and it is a lot softer once you wash it too.

Mine did that too!!

How do you get it not to turn into a tube?

As far as I know, they like dry, warm conditions. I get them in the winter, but find when I start re-using the greenhouse from spring onwards, the wet soil and humidity makes them move elsewhere.
