It'd be interesting to see which words were M/F...for example lorry and van in Welsh are female..and car is male.. cat is female,dog,male.
I wonder if there is a pattern or reason in the languages ...

I love Northern Portugal too but as I get older, I think I will appreciate a climate a little less like Wales. Old and cold and damp is not something I aspire to! So we have bought in the East Algarve ...

I suppose if it was a variety like Alderman,which grows 6 foot tall plus, so you get value per space...but you'd have to keep a good eye on the watering.

I generally process the bottled cordial (tops a quarter turn open) in a pan of cold water,raise to 190 F and hold for 20 mins then close tops and remove from pan to cool.

I haven't had any problem ...

There is plenty of dead wood around...they used pine poles for building garden steps/borders 15 yeas ago and most are getting soft.
Also the forestry is sometimes badly cleared when felling,so in so ...
