On the Nantgarw side of Caerffili there are massive housing estates...when I lived there very early 80s that was two large holes in the ground with very questionable multicoloured ... |

I should think they are!
Lots of magpies here..but it's interesting that this year the starlings are ganging up on the magpies, so they are not getting things all their own way like last year |

My Epson is ok with non Epson ink.
Epson and HP are ok if you run Linux, Canon is definitely not.
I want to upgrade to a refillable ink one when I can, but that won't be for a while.
Mine is ok up ... |

I use very gritty compost for all sorts of cuttings...in a pot in a poly bag = mini greenhouse
I think the grittiness may stimulate root growth? |
