I had to do some 8" posts in the past, in very stony ground.
As you said, post in hole, wedge with stones to keep it vertical then postcrete.

I would normally chop up apples , cook and sieve for making apple butter or cheese. I suppose it would cook quicker!

I know it can be compost or animal feed, but is there anything you can make from pomace once you have as much juice out of it as possible?

Sliding door..it will have to be a step over to get in and out. Might do brick or block as a step, but space is tight. Not ideal but needs must.

As little as possible! One side and one end will sit on the edge of large slabs that are already there. The others I am not sure what is there yet, looks like broken up concrete and brick

I have just made another half batch, this time using the tomatoes suggested in the original recipe. I think I prefer it with apples.

It is good if someone can't tolerate hot or spicy, and it isn't over vinegary either.
Good with sweet or savoury
