Xynthia made her way through Germany last night and took the roof off the chicken house. Chooks are ok but not happy. Will have to see if it can be rebuilt

Thank you. Pleased with the way they turned out.
Iīll take the white one up to the farmer I got the lamb off (plus 130) this evening. He wants it for his Mercedes MTrac 1000 tractor. |

-15 have the heating on in the chicken hut..... seems a little strang ethat we heat the house with wood fires yet keep the chickens warm with an electric heater. Animal welfare before the planet?  |

| Just a quick update. I ended up putting both through the washing machine. On the wool setting 30 degrees extra rinse and 1000 rpm spin. Came out much cleaner, still a few bits of poo but uch better. |

| I'd worry about felting the hair side in the washing machine, but if you felt a 'wool wash' cycle would be gentle enough, aand that the machine could cope with the amount of dirt that might come off, ... |

| I have two fairly small sheep skins which I want to try. They are very mucky though and itīs freezing outside! Any reason they couldnīt be put through the washing machine? For the first stage. |

Dot: if you're using 100% wholemeal I'd add 1/4 tsp citric acid to the mix: helps it rise. Or you could do half & half with white.
Only keeps a few days uncut, but freezes well.

| We now use satellitte should be 1024 down 256 up (no phone line required) only that quick in the middle of the night mind you but 1/2 the price of ISDN and more reliable. |
