It did go yellow after a couple of days though I never sliced it, I'll steer clear of them then. There were pine tree's growing near them if that gives anymore clue?

But that's the thing a lot of this food isn't even past it's date, they throw lots of things out that are on the day before their date. I wouldn't trust meat and dairy but most vegetables thrown away ...

I have some lovely memories of holidays on the island. Never saw a red squirrel though.

I do it's easier and not as horrible as it sounds once you get used to it, and you save a fortune in sanitary protection products and reduce the environmental impact.

It'll get that way with me soon, you can always give away jars around Christmas always goes down well. I'll even decorate the jars with a bit of fabric and some ribbons this year I think.

I've read 6 years as long it's the right amount of vinegar and sugar, but I've never had any last that long yet.

Can you make cider in demijohns like wine? I have loads and the air locks, really want to give it a go now, will have to go out searching for wild apples.
