You could try Organic John:

(not officially organic, but no chemicals etc)

Thanks for that, I'll try both those suggestions. Are Suma happy just to deliver one sack? And how much appoximately does a sack cost?

What do you use to mill your wheat?

Sorry so many questions, but I'm an excited bunny!!

My OH, Bigs, knows more about the Suma orders but you may be able to find a shop near you who has deliveries and they could get it in.

There's some details here: https://forum.downsizer.net/about327.html&highlight=suma

As for milling wheat we've not got round to getting anything yet but there's a whole thread here:

Sorry for just posting links but there's quite a bit of info in them you may find useful. Enjoy.

He means Bugs (in case your searching for Bigs, Penny!) Bugs (and a few other people here) run co-operative buying schemes for bulk goods, and I understand it doesn't take many people before the order mounts up over the minimum (where you put is another problem altogether. I'm glad I'm not the only one with sacks of flour in he spare room!)

Organic box shcemes that do wholefoods often order a lot from suma (as do wholefood shops) and may be able to order in for you, if you ask nicely.

Thank you Miss Womble...the flour won't be the only thing in the spare room tonight

If you don't want to get anything else to make up a larger order, most independent stores seem to get regular orders in and will I think often be happy to get you in a sack - getting it home might be interesting though!

You and me both - have you got any ideas? I think in that thread my not-so-better half pointed you to, someone said that the Kenwood Chef thingies can have a grain mill attachment, if you happen to own one of those.

No, I don't have a Kenwood Chef thingy

Found this on ebay, which looks a bit cheaper than the UK ones:

Don't know how much postage is though.

I also found this site on my travels around the web - I find it a bit extreme, but some useful info!

(If you want the radio it costs $6 to post - I asked!!!!)
