today there are some very nice ones, not ready or hairy describes most that are still on the vine

it is hard to decide how this harvest has gone, lots set, many matured, half of those rotted, the rest have been grade A or grade A+

better than i would have expected after months of overcast and damp/raining
blossom time was luckily suitable, even though bee, moth and hover fly numbers are devastated they got pollinated

i need to teach somebody how to prune, the 20% i did nearly killed me, but "trim that" could be very disappointing and a "gardener" might be "garden" if they get it wrong

i will have to put my headhunter hat on

Mine are variable, but quite a lot of good ones. I went picking them in the wood yesterday too and got a punnet full quite quickly. Not as large as the garden ones, but most not bad.

Managed to forage some wild and wild crossed with cultivated raspberries from the woods, got some blackberries from the garden and added some chopped nectarines (bought). Went well with cream.

I think you have been having the rain we lack. Luckily we have had some rain this summer after a very wet winter and spring, so things aren't growing too badly. I actually have some summer cabbage hearting up, which is quite good as they don't usually work.
