I have been asked a couple of times if I can give basic sewing lessons. So Ginkotree and I have come up with a date for a make do and mend weekend. you can be shown how to sew, use your sewing machine, crochet, knit, basic garment alteration and repair, darning and such like. I have also spoke to Sally in the past about such a weekend and hope she will be involved also. However I have not yet spoken to her about her availability. so far this thread is to see if we have any takers.
again we will be looking at around £55 for the weekend. All pm's to me please x

Oooo. Sewing machines! Our school is flogging some off - I've been told a bid of a fiver would probably secure one. Anyone interested?

yes please. a good three or four at that price would be handy to have at the farm permanantly

I can trade feltmaking for dressmaking

It has to be old - and gunged / rusted up ...

and I still need to learn how to sew
