We now have 4 Wiltshire Horn girls to keep 'The Devil' happy!

1 x Ewe lamb
1 x Sheerling
1 x 2yr ewe - in lamb
1 x 3yr ewe - in lamb

He has already chased the sheerling around, tongue lolling, so he is having fun - and possibly more lambs in the summer

Fingers crossed that the electric fence keeps them in tonight...

Was getting dark today when they had settled so I'll take some pics tomorrow

Not much use for spinning , felting etc unless you have the time to collect it from your fences, off the ground etc. They shed their fleece - an advantage if you only have a small flock - you don't need to find anyone to shear them. Even if you do collect the fleece up it hasn't a very long staple.

They shed I'm afraid - the birds will love me

I think they are very pretty girls, especially my little ewe lamb who is still quite fluffy

Not my house I'm afraid :/
BUT
I DO have a playhouse & slide (I'll miss out the climbing net and swings!) for the goats, we just need to build it

The ram is fine in the field with the girls but he can only be caught by pinning him in the corner of the shed with hurdles, he won't follow a bucket or walk on a halter...
I have a lovely bruise on my knee - AND ALL DOWN MY LEG THIS MORNING! where he whipped around and caught me while on the halter...
I managed to move him 100 yards to the sheep field (I won't say how ) and now I just hope he stays there!
The sheerling is in season so I hope he will be more interested in her than getting back to the goats who he still has a thing for!

Luckily I have a good catching corner (between the field shelter and the fence) where we can make a funnel with hurdles to run them through to catch for foot trimming / worming, etc I'm sure it will come in more handy for the sheep than the goats which are a bit more amenable!

I don't NEED any more animals so a sheep dog is out of the question, LOL!

Nice looking girls.

You are lucky you can catch the bugger. Mours are as mil as milk but bloody hell you need to be sneaky to catch them!
