Knitting Guru

You appear to be a Knitting Guru. You love knitting
and do it all the time. While finishing a
piece is the plan, you still love the
process, and can't imagine a day going by
without giving some time to your yarn.
Packing for vacation involves leaving ample
space for the stash and supplies. It can be
hard to tell where the yarn ends and you
begin.

Knitting Novice

You appear to be a Knitting Novice.
You might be just taking up the hobby and still feel a bit intimidated by the whole process. You might not know a purl from a knit stitch and those cryptic codes that others call "patterns" seem pretty intimidating, but it's something you've been meaning to learn and you are having fun trying.

Can I just point out that the picture looks nothing like me. I do have blue eyes, but my hair's dark and short, shoulders full, and hips narrower. Oh, and I'm not hiding anything in my jumper either.
The clothers are accurate though...

Knitting Apprentice

You appear to be a Knitting Apprentice.
You've got the basics down pat and you might just
be falling in love with this hobby. Big
needles, funky yarns and simple shapes are
the name of the game, but it doesn't mean you
don't experiment a bit, here and there. As an
apprentice, you probably fall back on other
people to get you through those rough spots,
and if you don't know anyone who knits, you
probably have a few books or online sources to tap.

I think my elevation to the ranks of the immortals is some way off!

I already have Goddess status; however knitting-wise I'm sitting next to Judith on the apprentice bench...two toes short of a pair of socks, the pair of us

I am

You appear to be a Knitting Adventurer.
You are through those knitting growing pains and feeling more adventurous. You can follow a standard pattern if it's not too complicated and know where to go to get help. Maybe you've started to experiment with different fibers and you might be eyeing a book with a cool technique you've never tried. Perhaps you prefer to stick to other people's patterns but you are trying to challenge yourself more. Regardless of your preference, you are continually trying to grow as a knitter, and as well you should since your non-knitting friends are probably dropping some serious hints, these days.

She has me down as an Apprentice, which sounds pretty much right really.

I've just learnt to crochet too, but only in an ever increasing square, so I guess I'm in the process of making a blanket with all the odds and ends of wool about the place. It's as addictive as knitting - I'm considering unravelling a couple of old jumpers to use on it!

I never got the hang of crocheting at all. All I could do was go round and round in ever tightening circles.

With all due respect to the Novices, Gurus and Goddesses, the Apprentice is by far the most attractive and is also the only one who appears to be wearing something knitted.

I realise that Gurus and Goddesses may not wish to embarrass lesser mortals with their superior craftsmanship, and novices may not have knitted anything wearable yet (unlike never-tryers such as me), but surely this shows a lack of dedication to the faith...
