Oh *%^! So sorry; I totally forgot about that and my (perhaps slight underestimation of the time demands of a) new baby has put paid to any grafting plans this year alas.

Things are good. Moved to a larger town to attend University. Bought a duplex as rent is a bit pricy here for a doctoral student's stipend to cover, and amazingly a mortgage with someone else paying half is more manageable.

2 research seasons down, and 1 and a half more to go until I change my name to Dr. Slim (plus a few publications to write.....)

Now living with S.O., 1 dog, 1 cat, and curtailed natural farming instincts to gardening in many raised beds. Squeezing in fruit trees where possible and working with a farm training program to house some veggie breeding I'm attempting on the side.
