I came back from a garden centre trip with a social group with only the plants that I had a mind to find to fill tubs. Very well behaved of me. Now to go and plant.
Had our first lot of mangetout peas last night. Don't have that many plants, so gathering peas as they get big enough. Rather nice anyway. The onion that were autumn sown sets look as if they are pretty well there, the leeks are coming on and I might get a few summer cabbages. The courgette, that looked rather dubious is at least growing a bit now, and there is some chard just hanging on.
i wonder if those snaps will have e mailed from the phone to the pooter anytime soon
it might be easier to swap the lens on the real camera to the GP one
lens and batteries swapped
i need a rest, then 3 recreated snaps

All the fruit doing well despite the Peck and Run merchants
Tomatoes, Aubergines, peppers in greenhouse, zucchini in cold frame, various squashes, runner beans....all slow. They speed up when we get a bit of heat!
Garlic all lifted and drying . Red onions coming along nicely in the past week..slow before that.
Leeks planted out yesterday, half done, need to do the rest but it is cold and wet out there!!
A short row of potatoes is making a lot of tops but no flowers so far
Using bread trays to deter cat/ bird damage is working .
the gate is not finished yet, it still needs reinforcement to strengthen the junction of the 2 layers of marine ply
the new smaller shed has similar hand forged fixings for the end door to the gate and a double barn door slider on the wide side in factory black metal(smith made sliders were bad expensive)
i just planted the second half of the green things seeds, japanese and a bit like spicy spinach

I rolled back the shading (thin white cotton curtain) in the greenhouse..it was needed in May to stop young plants being scorched, but now it so dull and cold again they need all the light they can get!
We have been very dry and hot this last week. Hoping for rain today; perhaps overnight Saturday to Sunday as there are a lot of things going on today. We have an event at one of the farm shops we supply, and our local village has a show on too. Hoping to visit both, the farm to see what the show is like now and the village as SIL and niece will be there with the hedgehog rescue stall that niece used to run. Someone else took it over when it got too much for her, but they still do fund raising.
